On March 24th 2025, 100 educators from across Europe came together to explore new ways of making mathematics more engaging and accessible. The webinar featured Iohana Cristina Udrescu from Asociatia Edulifelong, who presented insights from the M@THGAN project, a collaborative initiative designed to support students struggling with mathematics.

The discussion focused on overcoming math anxiety through gamification, technology integration, real-world applications, and nature-based learning. Participants explored research-backed approaches, including Realistic Mathematics Education, Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory, and Constructivism, emphasizing the importance of active and contextual learning.
Key resources developed within the project were also introduced, such as:
A Classroom Activities Guide, offering hands-on teaching strategies
The M@THGAN board game, designed to make math interactive and fun
A MOOC for teachers, available in seven languages, providing professional development opportunities
The session encouraged reflection on how educators can transform the way math is taught, helping students develop both confidence and curiosity.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions. A special thank you to the European School Education Platform & eTwinning, whose support made this event possible, providing a space for collaboration and inspiration in the field of math education.
