Today , 16. 04.2025 we spent a great day at Școala Gimnazială Voievod Litovoi with our Mobile Green Energy Lab. The students were full of energy and curiosity, and we had a lot of fun learning together.

We kicked off today’s workshop with some hands-on observations right outside the school. The students gathered around the Mobile Lab to see for themselves how much energy our solar panels were producing in real time. It was a great way to connect what they’ve learned in class to what’s happening around them—especially when they realized how much sunshine it actually takes to generate enough electricity.
Then we turned our attention to the wind turbine and asked an exciting question: is it spinning fast enough to power a light bulb? The kids were quick to guess and even quicker to test their theories. The little ones cheered when the light flicked on.
These simple but powerful experiments helped them see how energy is made—and how nature itself can become a reliable source if we learn how to use it wisely. We also had open and thoughtful conversations about green energy—solar, wind, and hydro—and about how each of us can help create a cleaner, fairer future. The students were eager to learn and ready to take action, even in small everyday ways.
The youngest kids started by giving life to the first page of our new comic book about hydroenergy. They added color, ideas, and imagination to the story, where our heroes face off against the villain, Baron Falsitate.
The older students took on the challenge of building their own wind turbines using simple materials. They worked in teams, tested different shapes, and found smart ways to make them spin faster. We talked about how wind can become energy, and how we can use it in real life.
One of the most exciting moments was when the kids programmed our Photon robot to follow a path showing how energy travels—from water, sun, and wind all the way to our homes. They were focused, proud, and very determined to get it right.
We also talked about why green energy is important and how each of us can help take care of the planet. The students had lots of questions and great ideas.
This activity is part of our "Mobile Green Energy Lab" project, made possible by Fondul Științescu with the support of the Vâlcea Community Foundation, the Federation of Community Foundations in Romania, and the Romanian-American Foundation.
A big thank you to the teachers who helped make this happen. We can't wait to visit the next school and meet more young eco-heroes!
